Kottachadri Trek

Kottachadri is mountain peak in Karnatka about 30 kms from Kollur. The name comes from native word "Kodacha" or "Kodashi", which means Kutaja flowers (Jasmine of the Hill), and "Adri", a Sanskrit word for mountain.
Our Journey commenced at 6 am from Udupi. We had hired a government bus, and after breakfast at Hotel Latha reached the base camp near Nagodi at 10 am. Our trekking started at 10.30 am and after trekking for 9 kms we reached the Bhats place at 12.30pm. From here additional 3 kms scenic trek to Adi Shankara Peeta.
